We Invite You to Join the World of Adventure With
RIM OF THE WORLD CLIMBING CLUB
Thank you for your interest in the ROWCC. The club was formed in 1990 by a small group of San Bernardino Mountain residents and friends that were interested in keeping access open to local climbing areas. It has evolved into an organization that not only is involved with access issues but also helps to provide a social platform for climbers to meet and participate in many oudoor gatherings. Activities include weekend trips to some of the finest climbing areas in California and Nevada, including Joshua Tree, Yosemite, Tuolomne Meadows, The Needles, Idyllwild, Red Rocks and many others. Camp sites are reserved by the Outings Committe six to eight months in advance and are paid through club dues. The ROWCC also participates in local conservatin projects and continues to work with Forest Service officials. We also support the Access Fund and other climing related access issues. The club newsletter "What's the Beta" includes members personal accounts of climbing, mountaineering, caving and other outdoor related activities. A membership roster is included in each newsletter for easy access to potential climbing partners and information. Please take note that this is not a club that teaches climbing. However, it is the club to join to have fun and ADVENTURE.
